Possibly the longest running thread on VCDQ features a discussion with director Sven Pape who chanced upon the VCDQ website to discover discussion about a workprint release of his movie L.A. Twister.

Two years in the making and finally a DVD is to be released with a proposed street date of Jan 25th 2007!

Said DVD will apparently include the entire thread from the VCDQ forums plus more features which Sven Pape has yet to disclose to us. Keep watching the thread for all the latest info and ordering details.

K so, new version, most of the launch bugs have been ironed out.

The new site features 3 Stylesheets you can choose from, "Grunge/Red" which is the default one currently, "Sleek/Blue", and "Classic" , which is pretty much the old style.

Later on we'll just set up a vote once i've ironed out the bugs, and set up every feature the old site had

Feature loss list:
* vcdreview needs to be incorporated.

Also, If anyone is clever and knows how to design sites via CSS, feel free to create your own theme and submit it to me, if its not crap, i'll add it in! (Be sure to account for banners and such!)

If anyone can point out site breaking bugs , or even a minor one, that'd be grreeeat..

Later on we'll set up a poll deciding upon the default stylesheet! Mob rule for the masses! :o

As many of you have already noticed on July 29th 2004 I removed all references to Shrek 2 from the site as requested in a cease and desist letter from Dennis Wilson/Dreamworks. After removing all references to shrek 2 and emailing mr Wilson I thought this matter was closed. Guess I was wrong..

On Aug 19th 2004 I recieved this email from my ISP EV1Servers.net.

I know this is alot late but things have been rough lately. First off I would like to thank everyone who wrote me a letter of support or donated some cash to help out. I recieved over 1500 letters of support from you guys in just those couple days. I replied to as many as I could before I had to move.

About my headaches. They did some blood work and took another ct scan a few days later. They said it wasn't an aneurysm but were still unsure what it was. They put me on a beta blocker and told me to take it easy. Eventually it quit hurting all the time and now every now and then it'll hurt but never as bad as it was before.

As all of you can see the website is back up. Only lost a few days of the database. I was able to recover a few day old backup off of the database that was on the second drive in the server. and I had a few week old copy of the source code. After redoing my changes I had made to the code I was able to get the site backup up on a new more relialable server.

Like I mentioned a couple minutes ago I had to move out of the place I was staying. I ended up moving back home with my parents. Me and my fiance are currently looking for an apartment. Just trying to get back on track financially. (Living at home BLOWS). Oh while I'm talking about moving lemme tell ya what my jackass roommate Brian did to me. In the middle of me making trips once a day to move all of my personal belongings. Brian busts into my room and steals my: 200mw high power pcmcia wireless card, Linksys 4 port dsl/cable router, Linksys wrt54g wireless router/ap, Tv(27"), Walkman(mp3), ps2, extra computer (celeron 600), 17" monitor, canon A80 camera w/512 cf card, unopened ceiling fan, cordless dremel + accessories, misc cd's and dvd's, plus alot of misc shit thats too long to list here. oh plus the cargo cover for the back of my jeep. Like what is that going to fit lol When I confronted him about my missing items he stated that he was going to return them to me the following day. That was over 2 weeks ago. He will not answer my phone calls, hangs up when I say something if I call from a number he dosent recognise, and wont answer my IM's or emails. I'm debating whether or not to take him to court or let karma deal with him. I never thought my FRIEND would do something like this to me.

I'm still looking for people to help with the building a new website from scratch. I recieved alot of emails when the site was down of people offering to help. I think I replied to all of them asking them to email if they are still interested. Also If anyone new is interested in joining a team of people to help write a whole new vcdquality.com please please email me and goto http://new.vcdquality.com/forum and read my ideas and post ideas of your own.

Okay this is getting rather long and its late so I'm gonna goto bed. Hope to see your ideas for the new site at http://new.vcdquality.com/forum

As I've noticed we have over 50,000 users reg'd to the forum, I've decided to do a mass cleanup of inactive accounts.

The stats are:
17,218 users deleted who haven't logged on for 365 days.

2,834 users deleted who haven't posted in 365 days.

50,276 users before the cleanup, 30,232 users afterwards.

If you feel you shouldn't of been deleted.. tough, it took me two hours+ to delete all of em :D Sign up again.

I'll probably be deleting some more soon, as I have a hard time believing all 30,000+ accounts left are all active and being used.
